Intro Each artist's original first generation clay model sculpture is created and placed into molds. Here hot metals pored into the molds cool and solidity the forms of each sculpture. Meticulous handwork with the harmonious blending of precious metals and acid patinas bring each artists vision to life. In its final stages, some sculptures are imbedded into Lucite. Lucite is a superior material to all acrylics and will not tarnish like many others. Once it is baked and cured, hours of hand polishing made the Lucite crystal clear. Now, all collectors--not just a privileged few--can enjoy the luxury of owning such fine art. About the
Artists Mark and David Stepper became fascinated
with the Earth's unique inhabitants. They could often be found
exploring the ponds and back woods surrounding their Connecticut
home for turtles, frogs, and fish. Mark and David were trained
in sculpture by their mother, an accomplished artist, and were
transforming scraps of clay into wonderful creatures by age
three. Kitty Cantrell is an award-winning artist and environmentalist. She is known for her striking sculptures of North American wildlife. Intricately designed and detailed, her Mixed Media sculptures capture expressions of animals that have never known human touch. |
